About the Artist Darika Bakeeva
Born in 1999 in Kyrgyzstan. From 2018−2022, studied at SPbGUPTD in St. Petersburg, specializing in "Art of Costume and Textile." Currently lives and works in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. She works with traditional materials, mainly oil on canvas. In her work, she strives to convey reality in a unique way, sometimes even altering it slightly to immerse the viewer in a particular mood. Speaking of her painting style, it can be said that she works in the style of symbolism. Sometimes the symbols are quite obvious, and sometimes they are not.
